Pilot fuel mixing plant
Our project task was to develop a multi-discipline technical design for a fuel mix pilot plant. The technology provided by the client concerned pilot production of second generation biofuels from the waste phase of glycerine produced during biodiesel production.
The scope of our work included the selection of all equipment, pipelines and fittings necessary for the operation of the technology, including the selection of tanks, mixers and pumps, together with the entire fittings and measurement of the installation.
The necessary supporting structures, sump trays, etc. were designed for the equipment to be installed. The scope of our work also includes all auxiliary installations, such as ventilation, electrical installations and automation system. The whole was designed and manufactured in accordance with explosion protection regulations (ATEX directive).
The designed installation solves the global problem of glycerine phase waste management by bioester manufacturers and is a closed part of the biofuel production cycle from rapeseed oil. Hence, created in this way fertilizer is used in agriculture and confirms the universal and waste-free character of this technology.
