Industrial gases return to the reaction shaft of a flash furnace in Copper Plant Glogów I
The main task of the project was to design flue gas pipeline from electro participator to the reaction shaft of flash furnace. Gas was highly polluted by sulfuric compounds, but the main component of the gas was . Design process included: piping and structural calculations and design, equipment selection, fan selection, materials selection, coordination with other companies, drafting, 3D modeling.
Main parts of the design were:
- Suction Pipeline (DN 700)
- Discharge Pipeline (DN 700)
- 18 Blow pipelines connected with reaction shaft of flash furnace (DN 150)
- Specially designed supporting structures (up to 16m height)
The project was complex, multidiscipline and innovative. It required good cooperation of piping, technology and structural teams. The installation was a part of a large project Modernization of Pyrometellurgy in Copper Plant Glogów I.
