Dropped Objects Protection
The aim of the project was to develop a solution for a DOP (Drop Object Protection) that would protect the EKOA production platform during P&A (Plug and Abandonment) work.
For this purpose, a synthetic mesh protection system was designed and developed.
As part of the scope of NAVIC’s work, the following were made:
• Mesh under the cantilever with a fastening system
• Adjustable curtain around the BOP (Blow Out Preventer) with a winding system enabling the adjustment of the curtain depending on the BOP position
